align is a personal journaling and goal-tracking app. It uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to read your daily journal entries and generate a score and suggestions, and includes optional social features (a community forum and friend connections).
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use align. Provide accurate information when you register.
Scores, suggestions, and analysis are generated automatically by an AI model based on what you write. They can be wrong, incomplete, or miss context. They are not medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice of any kind, and shouldn't be treated as such. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis service in your area.
You own what you write in align. By submitting a journal entry, you grant us permission to process and store it, and to send its text to our AI provider, solely for the purpose of providing the app's features to you. We don't use your journal entries to train AI models, and we don't share them for advertising.
Anything you post in the community forum is visible to other users you connect with there — don't post anything you wouldn't want seen by others, and don't post content that's illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights.
Don't use align to break the law, harass or harm others, attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.
align is provided "as is," with no uptime guarantee. Features (including daily AI usage limits) may change as the app evolves. We'll try to avoid breaking changes to your existing data, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free.
You can stop using align at any time, and delete your account and all its data yourself from Settings — this is immediate and permanent, no need to contact us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
align is offered on a best-effort basis by an independent developer. To the extent permitted by law, align is provided without warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any statutory rights you have that can't be waived under the law that applies to you (including EU consumer-protection rights, if applicable).
We may update these terms as align changes. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app.
