By creating an account or using align, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

align is a personal journaling and goal-tracking app. It uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to read your daily journal entries and generate a score and suggestions, and includes optional social features (a community forum and friend connections).

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use align. Provide accurate information when you register.

Scores, suggestions, and analysis are generated automatically by an AI model based on what you write. They can be wrong, incomplete, or miss context. They are not medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice of any kind, and shouldn't be treated as such. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis service in your area.

You own what you write in align. By submitting a journal entry, you grant us permission to process and store it, and to send its text to our AI provider, solely for the purpose of providing the app's features to you. We don't use your journal entries to train AI models, and we don't share them for advertising.

Anything you post in the community forum is visible to other users you connect with there — don't post anything you wouldn't want seen by others, and don't post content that's illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights.

Don't use align to break the law, harass or harm others, attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.

align is free to try. New accounts can write their first 7 journal entries with every feature switched on, including the AI analysis. Entries are one per day, so the trial lasts at least 7 days and does not expire while you aren't using it.

After that, the AI features — the daily analysis, the deep analysis, day planning, goal drafting, voice input, the Aligner and the discovery of new goals — need a subscription. Everything that doesn't call an AI model stays free and always will: writing entries, keeping goals, scoring your own days by hand, tasks, the calendar, streaks, levels, friends and the forum.

The price and billing period are shown at checkout before you pay, in your own currency, with any tax included. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We may change the price for future periods; if we do, you'll be told before it applies to you and can cancel first.

Payments are handled by Paddle. When you subscribe, Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record and the seller of the subscription — your purchase contract for the transaction is with them, and they issue your invoice and handle tax. Their buyer terms apply to the payment itself. These terms cover your use of align.

We never see or store your card details.

You can cancel at any time — there's no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not cut short the period you've already paid for, and you keep full access until that period ends. After it ends the AI features switch off and everything else keeps working, with all your entries and goals intact.

Deleting your account is separate and immediate — see "Ending your account" below. If you have an active subscription, cancel it as well, or it will keep renewing.

If you're in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of a digital service without giving a reason. Because a subscription gives you the AI features straight away, the checkout asks you to agree to that immediate access and to acknowledge that doing so ends the 14-day withdrawal right once the service has been provided. You don't have to agree — but the subscription can't start until you do.

Beyond that: if something goes wrong, write to us. If the app didn't work, you were charged twice, a renewal caught you by surprise, or you subscribed by mistake and haven't used the AI features since, we'll refund you. We'd rather return the money than keep it from somebody who didn't get what they paid for.

Refunds are issued by Paddle to the payment method you used. Ask us at dudnikov.sash@gmail.com and we'll arrange it, or contact Paddle directly.

align is provided "as is," with no uptime guarantee. Features (including daily AI usage limits) may change as the app evolves. We'll try to avoid breaking changes to your existing data, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free.

You can stop using align at any time, and delete your account and all its data yourself from Settings — this is immediate and permanent, no need to contact us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

align is offered on a best-effort basis by an independent developer. To the extent permitted by law, align is provided without warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any statutory rights you have that can't be waived under the law that applies to you (including EU consumer-protection rights, if applicable).

We may update these terms as align changes. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app.
